Stage 3 Overview
Deep Body-Breath Coherence
Section titled “Deep Body-Breath Coherence”Stage 3 introduces Body–Breath Scanning (BBS), which is a powerful technique for tracing awareness along the body’s internal vertical axis using breath as the guide. This stage bridges the structural alignment established in Stage 2 (BBA) with deeper interoceptive clarity and prepares the system for absorption into stillness.
BBS was inspired by the classic Kriya Yoga Pranayama as taught in the tradition of Lahiri Mahasaya, but Ayvasa teaches it without the need for visualization or breath manipulation through the spine. Instead, we emphasize raw sensory perception and direct experience of breath movement inside the body.
